The miracle of breath
Although breathing is the most important process in our body, we usually give it little or no importance. As humans we can survive about 6 weeks without food and a few days without drinking, but only a few minutes without breathing. Although the breath accompanies us from birth to the end of our lives, most people hardly think about how and why they breathe. We can't live without breathing, but we can breathe most of our life "wrong" and thus give away a great potential that lies dormant in us. The breath is the source of power in our life and has a direct effect on body and mind. The breath is closer to us than anything else and our most valuable possessions, if we lose it, we have lost everything. When one day we have taken our last breath, it is too late.
Breathing techniques and correct breathing are a true fountain of youth, which can increase our energy, reduce maturity and improve the immune system.
Take 1 minute's time once a day to observe your breathing and answer the following 3 questions:
- How long is the length of inhalation and exhalation? What is the relationship between them?
- What is the breathing behavior immediately after inhalation and immediately after exhalation? Are there breaks?
- In which areas of your body do you feel the breathing movements during inhalation and exhalation?
