Naked Yoga Killer-Abs-Exercise

My naked yoga video this week is about strong abs and training the whole core area.

If you think of sit-ups & co. when you think of abdominal muscle training, then you've come to the right place. Sit-ups are mega out and compared to the exercises I'm going to show you, they're just a kid's birthday party :).

While the classic abdominal exercises á la Crunches and Situps are rather one-sided and isolated, my dynamic exercises strengthen the whole core area, i.e. your entire body in a unique and effective way. 

What exactly is the Core Area?

The training of the core area is understood to be the muscles in the central part of the human body between diaphragm and hip. The muscles of the core, i.e. the central part of the body, are the connection between the upper and lower body.

In detail, the following types and groups of muscles belong to it:

  • Abdominal muscles - straight abdominal muscle (rectus abdominis muscle), oblique abdominal muscle (transversus abdominis muscle), internal oblique abdominal muscle (internal oblique abdominal muscle), external oblique abdominal muscle (external oblique abdominal muscle)
  • back muscles - deep back muscle (Musculus multifidus), quadrangular lumbar muscle (Musculus quadratus lumborum), back extensor (Musculus erector spinae)
  • gluteus and the hip rotators

Advantages of a Core Training compared to classical abdominal exercises

In the classic strength training exercises for the abdomen, you usually train the muscles alone and relatively isolated. You might use them to train your abdominal muscles for the outdoor pool, but they are of little use for improving your performance in sports and everyday life.

For performance and functionality in sports and everyday life, however, whole muscle chains are always necessary. And this is exactly what you train with my Nude Yoga Core Training. Muscle training and at the same time improvement of body stability and coordination.

The exercises in my video vary from easy to moderate to very difficult. So there is something for everyone. But it is always a complex exercise in the sense of a functional training, to use whole muscle chains.
