I used to think: "Sleep is the third pillar for health besides a good diet and sufficient exercise (yoga). Today I know that sheep is the foundation for everything else! If the foundation of sleep is missing, then even a good diet and regular exercise is no longer as effective.
Sleep deprivation secretly and quietly affects all important body systems, body tissues and organs. And not only that. Even just a little sleep deprivation can cause a loss of concentration and many neurological and psychiatric conditions such as Alzheimer's, anxiety and even depression are associated with permanent sleep deprivation.
