The death of all happiness is comparison.
Let’s be honest:
It’s not easy for us not to compare ourselves.
Thanks to the media, we see amazing, successful people everywhere.
Unfortunately, many people shape and judge their entire lives by comparing themselves with others.
Imagine you’ve just built a beautiful house.
You enjoy it.
You feel good.
Until someone builds a house on the property next door that is much bigger, more beautiful, more expensive, and more impressive.
When we compare, we treat things as if they were equal.
But no one is the same.
Everyone is incomparable.
Unique.
One of a kind.
With all their strengths and weaknesses.
You too.
Comparing yourself is simply stupid.
Do you want a happy life?
Then stop comparing yourself.
Sometimes we need courage to look at ourselves.
Just as we are.
Completely naked.
Tender, vulnerable.
But always wonderful.
Recognizing this is what Naked Yoga is all about.
You are unique and valuable.
You don’t have to please others.
You are no better or worse than anyone else.
You are you.
One of a kind.
With your strengths.
Your weaknesses.
Your body.
Your story.
Happiness begins there.
Where you begin to understand this.
Yours,
Elke

“But every human being is not only himself; he is also the unique, very special, always significant and remarkable point where the phenomena of the world intersect, only once in this way and never again. That is why every person’s story is important, eternal, divine; that is why every human being, as long as they live and fulfill the will of nature, is wonderful and worthy of every attention. In everyone, spirit has taken form; in everyone, creation suffers; in everyone, a redeemer is crucified.”
Hermann Hesse, Demian
