My naked yoga video is about strong abs and training the entire core area.
If you also think of situps & co. when you think of "abdominal muscle training", then you've come to the right place. Situps are mega out and compared to the exercises I show you, a pure children's birthday :).
While with the classic ab exercises á la crunches and situps you train pretty one-sided and isolated, you strengthen with my dynamic exercises the entire core area, so your entire body center in a unique and effective way.
What exactly is the core area?
Training the core area means the muscles in the central part of the human body between the diaphragm and the hips. The muscles of the core, i.e. central area of the body, in a way represent the connection between the upper and lower body.
In detail, they include mainly the following types and groups of muscles:
- Abdominal muscles - straight abdominal muscle (Musculus rectus abdominis), oblique abdominal muscle (Musculus transversus abdominis), internal oblique
- abdominal muscle (obliquus internus abdominis muscle), outer oblique abdominal muscle (obliquus externus abdominis muscle)
- Back muscles - deep back muscle (Musculus multifidus), quadratic lumbar muscle (Musculus quadratus lumborum), back extensor (Musculus erector spinae)
- gluteal muscles
- and the hip rotators
Advantages of core training over classic abdominal exercises
With classic abdominal strength training exercises, you usually train the muscles alone and in relative isolation. You might train your abdominal muscles for the outdoor pool, but for an increase in performance in sports and everyday life, this brings you quite little.
For performance and functionality in sports and everyday life, however, whole muscle chains are always necessary. And this is exactly what you train with my Naked Yoga Core Training. Muscle training and at the same time improvement of body stability and coordination.
The exercises in my video vary from easy to moderately difficult to very difficult, there is something for everyone. But it is always about complex exercises in the sense of a functional training, so that the entire muscle chain is also stressed.
