What does the word “no” actually mean?

Practicing dying, to finally live.

Death – and why it makes you alive

A wise teacher was once asked:
What is the most important thing we should learn?

He replied without hesitation:
“Learn to die, then you will learn to live.”

Bam!

How do you learn to die?
Are you serious?

For almost everyone, death is the greatest fear in life.

In yoga, this fear is called Abhinivesha, the instinct for self-preservation, the will to live.

It is one of the root causes (5 Kleshas) of suffering in life.

When we die, we no longer have control over anything.
And that scares us – even in life.

But death is not just the end.

It is also our best friend.
It shows us that our time here is finite.

And how precious every day can be.
Because it can come to us at any time.

It helps us separate the essential from the non-essential.

Because when the time comes, everything worldly is left behind.
Money, possessions, status.

The only thing that matters and that you take with you is what you have built up inside yourself.

That's why it's so important to take care of what remains now.

And to let go of what you have to leave behind anyway.
Incidentally, this also makes life much easier.

When joy and love are within you, you are free from all external things.

This is the freedom that yoga wants to show us.

What does this have to do with nude yoga?

When you stand naked on the mat, you practice exactly that:
letting go.

Not just clothes, but also roles, masks, possessiveness.
You practice not defining yourself by your body.

Instead, you define yourself by what lies deep beneath: your soul, your essence, your light.

Naked yoga is a taste of how free it feels when everything superfluous falls away.

And you can live this freedom every day—not just at the end.

Your impulse for this week
If today were your last day, how would you spend it?
What things in your life are ballast and can be let go?
What would you like to have in your “inner backpack” when you move on?

Take 5 minutes every day to sit naked (yes, really naked!) in silence.
Breathe, feel, just be.

And remember: life is now.
