Asanas are the postures in yoga.

But what exactly is an asana?

You can find out about this and what characteristics an asana should have in today's video.

6 simple tips to help you fall asleep more easily - and change your life for the better.

Can't fall asleep because your mind is racing?

The solution is easier than you think.

Positive thoughts before going to bed prepare you for a good night's sleep. They ensure that you wake up in the morning with strength, energy and zest for life.
Here are the 6 best tips that you can simply try out.

1. think about your favorite moment of the day
Think back to a moment in your day that was good or that you were proud of. Important: Even small things count.

2. imagine your dream place
An island in the middle of the sea, a hut in the mountains. On a lake, in the desert or in absolute silence on the moon. Imagine a place in your mind's eye where you would like to be right now. The more details, the better.

3. positive affirmations
Affirmations are an excellent way to break through negative thought patterns. They have a direct effect on your subconscious and are a powerful tool.

4. concentrate on your breathing
Before going to sleep, try a short positive meditation in which you concentrate on your breathing. Count your breaths as you do so.

5. focus on one positive thing for tomorrow
What are your plans for tomorrow?

We often can't fall asleep because we're worried about what needs to be done the next day. Instead, try to think specifically about something that you are particularly looking forward to. Visualize it in your mind's eye and imagine it as well as you can.

6. think: "I'm staying awake and that's okay."
Sometimes the mere thought of "having to" fall asleep and not being able to can trigger anxiety.

One psychological trick is to surprise your own brain. Keep your eyes wide open and repeat inwardly: "I'm not sleeping and that's okay."

This sleep paradox gives your brain the signal to fall asleep.
